9-30-10 Today we learned about parallel and perpendicular lines.

Parallel lines of different lengths
3 slanted parallel lines
Perpendicular lines are when two lines intersect to form a right angle. (Right anle is a 90 degree angle.) Example:

The most intriguing thing about this blog is that most of us go day by day without noticing the small things. I don't think I have ever looked at a building where it hits the ground and said "well look there! I see a perpendicular angle!" So, I really enjoyed looking at the different kinds of small things most of us don't take time to notice. DSP
ReplyDeleteI really like how you included different everyday examples of parallel and perpendicular lines. I think kids could have a lot of fun going around and pointing out all the places where they see examples of these. :) BJJ
